When facing a decision between two competing options, their eventual outcomes often trail towards becoming similar. I'm not saying that some choices aren't better than others, but rather, despite initial differences, the final costs or results of these options often converge, becoming more alike.

For example, I had a lot of stuff and needed to cover a very large distance. The choice was between paying for storage and flying, or driving with everything in my car. At first, driving appeared to be 30% cheaper. But when considering the increased fuel consumption due to the extra weight, the cost of driving began to approach the combined cost of flying and storage.
